I am here to advocate for teachers who are seeking their first international post and for those with limited international education experience. How does one decide which country is most suitable? What salary should one expect? How should one prepare for a recruitment fair? What do these abstract terms in my contract really mean? What's the difference between an apostille and an authentication??? So many questions and processes that I am here to make easy for you.
The most notorious offenses occur in regard to issues surrounding housing, holidays, and workload. I still work in international education and the boots on the ground input I offer cannot be undervalued. Even if you have worked at several schools in different countries, it is advisable to have an experienced professional review any contracts presented to you, especially when it comes to teacher recruitment.
This is a journey for sure, and I'm here to help!

I began my international education career in 2010 through the EPIK program in South Korea. Like so many other new teachers in my cohort, I was seeking a new adventure and an economic escape from the grips of the Great Recession.
After 4 years of teaching in public schools there, I discovered that I was, in fact, a competent teacher. I expanded my horizons by earning a master’s degree in International Education and obtaining professional licensure in ESOL (K–12) in the United States.
Now, after 16 years and eight countries, I'm here to share a wealth of knowledge through education consulting to help educators navigate potential pitfalls, including understanding contracts and the teacher recruitment process. I have taught in diverse educational settings, including public schools, language academies, colleges, IB World Schools, and hybrid schools. This breadth of real-world experience enables me to provide informed guidance as individuals determine their next professional steps in the international education landscape.
Soon, you'll be making everlasting memories in the field of international education, whether through teacher recruitment or education consulting, just like these!

Packing up your bags and moving to another country is no easy feat. In addition, everyone else has THEIR best interest at heart when it comes to placing you in a post. Using a recruiter? They get a comminssion check from your placement. The schools? They are priortizing their needs not yours and may fail to leave out important details you didn't know you should ask! You need an advocate for you that won't break the bank! That's why I'm here!
Unfortunately, almost all countries want your criminal record check to be squeaky clean. I will not be able to help you considering this industry standard.
I am not a recruiter and cannot find you a job. I am here to help you navigate the industry and any contracts that may be offered to you.
I charge 30.00 USD for a 30-minute initial conversation to establish your needs ONLY. All other services such as contract review, research, and customized action plans(immigration procedures, document preparation guidance, etc) will be determined individually. Please send an email to dannysaid@dannysaid.com to get started!
